The Dream…

I have always loved working with children and that has always stayed constant while I searched for my passion area. My first ever day as a therapy assistant, I knew I had found it. I instantly felt like  it was the right fit, this was where I could have a positive impact and make a change!

I have always dreamed big and when it comes to supporting others I tell them to do the same! I may not be able to change the world but I can have an impact on the lives of the families and children at Be Heard. I strive for Be Head to reflect the way I wish the world was, a world where:

  • Everyone feels respected for who they are as an individual

  • There is always someone there to actively listen

  • An environment that is safe, positive and non-judgemental

  • All communication modes are equally valued

The Beginning of Be Heard…

So, I founded Rhy's Respite (now Be Heard Therapy & Supports) in October 2018 because I may not be able to change the world BUT I can try to make a change in the world's of the children and families my team and I are lucky enough to work with!

I believe it is very important to build up positive and respectful relationships with children while supporting them to learn, develop and achieve their personal best.

“I love being able to be someone that children and their families know will always believe in them!”

Why I Do It

I love helping children find their way to communicate and gain the confidence to make their voice heard.

I am passionate about advocating for each individuals voice to be heard and valued, however they choose to express themselves.

I am continually seeking out opportunities to improve and gain new skills in the area of AAC (Alternative and Augmentative Communication).
